Sen. Bob Corker Rips Trump After Twitter Diss: ‘White House Has Become an Adult Day Care Center’
In the latest sign of Republican infighting, President Donald Trump and Tennessee’s Republican Senator Bob Corker traded caustic tweets on Sunday morning.
“It’s a shame the White House has become an adult day care center,” tweeted Corker in response to a series of POTUS tweets attacking him days after he announced plans to step down when his current term ends.
“Someone obviously missed their shift this morning,” he added.

Corker’s tweet followed a series of tweets by Trump, who claimed that Corker had “begged” him to endorse him for re-election and that he decided not to run after Trump declined.
The president also tweeted that Corker had sought to be appointed Secretary of State — which he also rejected — and that he was “largely responsible” for the “horrendous” deal to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
“Hence, I would fully expect Corker to be a negative voice and stand in the way of our great agenda,” Trump wrote, before offering a parting shot: “Didn’t have the guts to run!”

Corker, the chairman of the Senate foreign relations committee, has been increasingly critical of Trump and his temperament.
On Wednesday, he said Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Defense Secretary James Mattis and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly “help separate our country from chaos, and I support them very much.”
