September TV Preview: 20 New Shows to Watch
All due respect to Green Day, but I will not be sleeping this September — there’s simply too much to watch.
It’s the start of another packed fall TV lineup, and the first month of that season gets right to business. FX’s “English Teacher,” Netflix’s “The Perfect Couple,” and Peacock’s “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” premiere in just the first few days of September on the heels of Labor Day Weekend. If you were planning to catch up on last year’s shows ahead of the 76th Annual Emmy Awards, time’s up, because they’re right in the middle of the month (check out IndieWire’s predictions by category and Consider This features before that). For Marvel and DC fans, there’s the one-two punch of “Agatha All Along” and “The Penguin” on consecutive days, and multiple new productions from Ryan Murphy. Kathy Bates takes on the mantle of “Matlock,” while Adam Brody and Kristen Bell team up for the romantic comedy “Nobody Wants This” later in the month.
