‘She-Ra’ Reboot Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix

Netflix has picked up the animated “She-Ra and the Princess of Power” for a second season, the streamer announced on Thursday.

The series tells the story of an orphan named Adora (Aimee Carrero), who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into She-Ra, the mythical warrior princess. Along the way, she finds a new family in the rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.

The rest of the show’s voice cast includes Karen Fukuhara, AJ Michalka, Marcus Scribner, Reshma Shetty, Lorraine Toussaint, Keston John, Lauren Ash, Christine Woods, Genesis Rodriguez, Jordan Fisher, Vella Lovell, Merit Leighton, Sandra Oh and Krystal Joy Brown.

A reboot of the ’80s cartoon hero, “She-Ra and the Princes of Power” hails from author and executive producer Noelle Stevenson (“Lumberjanes,” “Nimona”) and executive producer Chuck Austen (“Dawn of the Croods,” “Steven Universe”).
