The 2024-2025 NFL season kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 5, when the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens in their first attempt at defending their championship title. This means that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will be back in his cleats this evening at Arrowhead Stadium — sporting a new hairstyle and mustache — and ready to show off his Super Bowl-winning skills.
But what shoes has the athlete and budding entertainment mogul been wearing during the last seven months away from the game?
From Jordans in Cleveland to Louboutins on stage with girlfriend Taylor Swift in London, discover the NFL star’s offseason footwear style below.
Rooting for the Cleveland Cavaliers at an NBA game in March, Kelce repped another famous Travis with his footwear. He paired a Cavs T-shirt and black pants with the Air Jordan 1 Low x Travis Scott Black Phantom sneakers. The shoes feature black suede fabric embroidered with white stitching; also of note, the Nike Swoosh is backwards — as is the case for all of Scott’s Air Jordan 1 creations.
In the spring, Kelce and girlfriend Taylor Swift traveled to the California desert to attend Coachella. Kelce served his own take on bohemian festival attire with a pair of blue striped pants and a frayed plaid flannel over a white tee. He also wore a bandana and a “Happy Gilmore” hat while tying everything together with white Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers from Converse. He appeared to be wearing a high-top version of the classic shoe, while Swift wore black Gucci sneakers.
Also in the spring, Kelce hosted a music festival called Kelce Jam in Kansas City in May. He hit the red carpet at the event wearing a Kelce Jam shirt with blue jeans. He coordinated the look with Nike Mars Yard 2.0 sneakers, which feature a red Swoosh against a yellow and white background. The sneakers are part of a line designed by Tom Sachs, who frequently collaborated with Nike prior to accusations of inappropriate workplace conduct.
At Big Sick Celebrity Weekend in June, Kelce took the stage wearing the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium sneaker in black. The shoe features the large “Air” branding on the side outlined in white, a design inspired by Nike’s Uptempo shoe. Kelce wore the shoes with his own jersey, a button down shirt and black pants.
Kelce and Swift took their relationship to the Eras Tour concert stage in London this summer, when Kelce joined the superstar for a performance of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” a song of her 2024 album “The Tortured Poets Department.” Dressed in a dapper tuxedo complete with a suit jacket with tails, he fittingly wore a pair of black Louboutin dress shoes — Swift is known to wear custom red bottoms while on tour lately.
