‘SNL’: Melissa Villasenor Reprises Lady Gaga Role on ‘Celebrity Family Feud: Oscar Nominees’
Saturday Night Live helped stir up excitement for the upcoming Academy Awards on Feb. 24 with a Celebrity Family Feud: Oscar Nominees sketch featuring Melissa Villasenor reprising her dramatic role as Lady Gaga.
With Kenan Thompson playing host Steve Harvey, the Oscars-themed Family Feud sketch featured film “newbies” Gaga, Rami Malek (Pete Davidson) and Mahershala Ali (Chris Redd) competing against “veterans” Spike Lee (Don Cheadle), Glenn Close (Kate McKinnon), Sam Elliott (Beck Bennett) and Olivia Colman (Cecily Strong).

“It’s such an honor to be on the Feud,” Gaga told Harvey, a reference to something the singer/actress has said multiple times during interviews for A Star Is Born. “If 99 people are surveyed, you just need one person to believe in you to win the game.”
“Well, I don’t think that’s how it works,” Harvey replied.
“It works if you dream it,” Gaga answered before belting out a note from the Oscar-nominated song “Shallow.”
Bradley Cooper, played by SNL‘s Kyle Mooney, also made a cameo during the sketch, recalling how he chose Gaga for the A Star Is Born role. “I saw this woman at the Super Bowl Halftime show and I had this wild idea, I thought, maybe she could play a singer,” he said.
