SNL Went in On Gun Control
After opening last night's episode with an apolitical show of unity via Jason Aldean's performance of "I Won't Back Down," SNL returned to bitingly political form during Weekend Update, which tackled gun control, President Trump's Puerto Rico response, and the state of the Supreme Court.
“How is no one keeping track of how many guns people own? There is a real law in Texas that says it is illegal to own more than six dildos,” said anchor Colin Jost. "And I get why: No one needs that many."
"Who are these delicate snowflakes that we can't just tell, 'No, you're not allowed to have forty guns anymore, Earl'?" asked Michael Che.
Kate McKinnon also made an appearance as Ruth Bader Ginsberg, channeling the voice of an 84-year-old woman from Brooklyn with eerie accuracy. Check out the full segment below.
