Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé Make Their ‘Voice’ Debuts as the Coaches Belt ‘Heartache Tonight’
Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé will make their grand debuts on The Voice when Season 26 premieres tonight, Sept. 23, on NBC (streaming the next day on Peacock). But if you can’t wait until then, you can now watch Snoop, Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani belting the Eagles’ “Heartache Tonight,” exclusively on Rolling Stone.
The 1979 hit serves as this season’s traditional all-coaches group performance. As the new kids in town, Snoop and Bublé fittingly get the first couple of lines before returning coaches Stefani and McEntire slide in with some delightful harmonies. By the end, all four are belting together, “It’s gonna be a heartache tonight, a heartache tonight/I know!”

This isn’t the first time The Voice coaches have kicked off a season with an Eagles classic. Back in 2023, ahead of Season 24, coaches Niall Horan, John Legend, McEntire, and Stefani sang the group’s debut single, “Take It Easy.”
Snoop and Bublé were announced as coaches for Season 26 of The Voice back in May, taking over for Chance the Rapper and John Legend. Both have previously appeared on the show, with Snoop serving as a Mega Monitor during Season 20, and Bublé acting as an adviser for Blake Shelton way back during Season Three. Stefani, meanwhile, is returning for her eighth season, and McEntire will be serving as a coach for her third season in a row.
While there is a whole season of The Voice ahead, the show’s 27th season is fast approaching in spring 2025 and will notably feature the return of Adam Levine. The Maroon 5 frontman left the show in 2019 after 16 seasons, the second-longest run in The Voice history following Shelton’s 23-season streak. Kelsea Ballerini, Legend, and Bublé will be joining Levine.
