Snoop Dogg Will Reunite With Crip-Walking Horse at 2024 Olympics and Boost Rising Stars on ‘The Voice’
There isn’t anything Snoop Dogg is restricting himself to this year. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the rapper teased his busy year ahead, which includes an upcoming debut gig as a coach on The Voice this fall and a returning slot as an NBC correspondent at the 2024 Olympics in Paris this summer.
“Well, if you know anything about me, you know I love all forms of music. So this is a great opportunity for me to show that I really understand music and, you know, to be a real coach and to really give direction to some of these artists that could be, you know, today’s next big thing,” Snoop told Fallon about joining The Voice‘s coaching panel alongside Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Bublé.

He added: “That’s what people are going to learn about me is that that’s why I feel like people attract to me, because I’m not one-sided. I’m not just for you. I’m for everybody. I’m the people’s champ.”
Snoop and Fallon agreed that they needed to organize a collaboration while in Paris for the Olympics. The rapper will provide reports for the games’ primetime show beginning July 26 on NBC and Peacock. When he debuted as a correspondent alongside Kevin Hart during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Snoop grew fond of one particular participant: the horse he saw crip-walking during the Equestrian event.
“The horse crip-walking! You see that? That’s sick. This horse is off the chain! I gotta get this motherfucker in a video,” Snoop gleefully narrated at the time. On The Tonight Show, he declared: “I’m going to meet the horse in real life. He’s the returning champ. So I got to go meet him — you know what I’m saying? — and let him know I’m a big fan.”
