Soulja Boy, Roscoe Dash Get Turnt Up At 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards
Soulja Boy and Roscoe Dash turnt up for the ringtone era in a big way at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards. On Tuesday (Oct. 14), Soulja hit the stage first, performing the first internet viral song and dance with “Crank That,” transforming Drai’s Beach Club Nightclub into YouTube circa 2007. The crowd immediately broke out into the choreographed dance, with “YUHHHHHHHHH” echoing throughout the lightly dimmed venue.
Soulja, dressed in a matching brown leather ensemble with an assortment of chains around his neck, hit a couple of moves from his “Superman” dance before heading into “Turn My Swag On.” Lights flickered, and minor pyrotechnics flared as the internet rap star hit a couple more dance moves with the background dancers.
Then suddenly—Roscoe appears. 2010 is knocking at the door, with Roscoe performing his hit single “All The Way Turnt Up” with Soulja Boy. Roscoe and Soulja embraced each other with dap before they got right to the track, impressively going back and forth on the song with adlibs from the audience.
“DJ turn me up, crank it to the max/ I got lots of gwalla, I be blowin’ stacks/ Polo on my, shoes and shirt to match/ I be so turnt up, I be swaggin’ to the max/ If you get it in, and you gettin’ dough,” Dash rapped, with added vocals from Soulja Boy. “Gon’ pop a bottle, this right here yo’ song/ P- by the zone, you can smell it on my clothes/ And it went up in my Swisher, ’bout to take one to the dome.”
