Star-studded El Paso: Tony Goldwyn, Benicio Del Toro seen around town
Celebrity sightings in El Paso have become frequent in recent weeks, with locals snapping photos of movie stars filming, dining and enjoying what the Sun City has to offer.
Most recently, actor Tony Goldwyn was spotted at the historic L&J Café, posing and smiling for photos with restaurant staff over the weekend.
"We are absolutely thrilled to have had the charming Tony Goldwyn dine in with us yesterday. Wishing him a wonderful stay in the Sun City," L & J Café posted on its Facebook page.

Goldwyn is best known for his roles as Mr. President in the television series “Scandal,” and Carl Bruner in “Ghost.”
Fans were quick to point out the irony of Goldwyn dining at L&J Café — the historic restaurant is also known as the "Old Place by the Graveyard."
In the film “Ghost,” Goldwyn plays the infamous antagonist who dies and is taken away to the abyss by shadowy spirits.
‘Are you sure it was him, remember he died in Ghost,’ one fan commented on Facebook. ‘He’s eating at a restaurant next to Concordia Cemetery, maybe it’s his ghost.’
Benicio Del Toro seen at Chihuahuas game during El Paso film shoot
While it’s unknown why Goldwyn was in El Paso, he joins a growing list of big names sighted in the Borderland, like Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio Del Toro.
The A-list actors are reportedly shooting a movie with “Boogie Nights” director Paul Thomas Anderson.
As filming continues Downtown, Del Toro took a break from shooting and was captured smiling in the stands at a Chihuahuas game at Southwest University Park on the Fourth of July.
It’s unclear how long the actors will be in El Paso.
