‘Star Wars Rebels’ Trailer: Meet a Brand New Jedi – And His Hunter (Video)

Before Luke Skywalker became “A New Hope,” there was a Jedi named Kanan secretly fighting for the rebellion.

The first full trailer (above) for Disney XD's upcoming animated series “Star Wars Rebels” shows the Jedi unveilling himself — and his lightsaber — in front of Imperial troops. Fans also get a look at the reason Kanan must hide his identity, as there is a Sith called the Inquisitor after all of his kind.

“Rebels,” executive produced by Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Greg Weisman, takes place between the events of “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” and “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.”

The series will debut with a one hour episode on the Disney Channel this fall before regularly airing on Disney XD.
