Styles P Performs at the Celebration for West NYC and Adidas' New Shoe
West NYC and Adidas celebrated their new collaborative sneaker with an event on Dec. 12 featuring a performance by hip-hop notable Styles P.
Inspired by the store’s Wizard character, the reinterpretation of the popular Adidas Gazelle silhouette features a purple velour suede upper while the brand’s three stripes are colored a shiny gold hue. The Wizard himself partied with Styles P at the event, which took place at the company’s Upper West Side address of 147 W 72nd Street.

The limited-edition shoe also comes with a gift package including, but not limited to, a satin bag, stickers and a numbered hand tag. Having officially hit the market on Dec. 14, the “Wizard” sneaker is available at West NYC and Westnyc.com with a price marked at $130. A portion of the sales will be donated to the New York City-based collective Men at Work Healing.
The Gazelle remains one of Adidas’ most popular styles and is often the subject of reinvention. The German brand recently teamed up with Clarks, for example, to create a crepe-sole iteration of the shoe as part of Kith’s annual Kithmas collection.
