According to South Korea's Yonhap news agency, an officer found Suga lying on the ground after falling off his electric scooter in the Yongsan district in Seoul. The officer gave him a breathalyzer test, which revealed that his blood alcohol levels were above 0.08 percent, the legal limit, per the outlet.

Suga was booked into the Yongsan Police Station on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act and was questioned by police officers before being released, the outlet reported.

"It is all my fault. My carelessness is making it difficult for everyone who cares about me. I will try not to make the wrongdoings again and live my life repenting," continued his latest apology.

"Because of this incident, I have greatly tarnished the precious memories I have made with the members and fans and have tarnished the name of BTS," added Suga.

"I am so sorry and in pain that it is difficult to express how I have caused harm to the members and the team. I am sorry that the members who always believed in me have had a hard time because of me," continued the statement. "And I also know very well how disappointed the fans who supported and cheered me on must have felt."

He later concluded the note, "I will gladly accept any punishment that is given in the future, as well as criticism and reprimands. Lastly, I once again bow my head and sincerely apologize for causing social controversy and disappointing many people."

Suga previously apologized in another note shared to WeVerse on Aug. 7, assuring followers "no other persons or establishments" were affected by the scooter accident.

Following the initial incident, BTS' record label BigHit Entertainment issued a statement to its website and wrote that they “apologize for BTS member Suga's electric kickboard accident.”

“We apologize for the disappointment caused by the artist’s inappropriate behavior,” they continued. “As a social service agent during his military service, he is prepared to accept any disciplinary actions from his place of work for causing a social disturbance.”

“We will take greater care to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in the future,” BigHit Entertainment added.

Currently, Suga is carrying out his mandatory military service after postponing his enlistment due to his touring schedule. Unlike his fellow BTS members, however, Suga has been working as a social service agent, an alternative form of military service, per The New York Times. His service is expected to be completed next June, per the outlet.
