“Suits”' Wendell Pierce Says He Walked Out of World Series After Fans Threw Things at Him: 'Worst Experience Ever'
The actor previously attended Game 1 of the series in Los Angeles, sharing on X that he was rooting for the home team at each venue

Wendell Pierce is a fan of both the Yankees and the Dodgers, but he’s no fan of what happened to him during Game 5 of the World Series on Wednesday night in the Bronx.
The Suits actor, 60, shared on X that he had to leave the close-out game early and didn’t get a chance to see Los Angeles clinch the championship due to some “unruly” fans on Oct. 30.
“Unfortunately I just left the Yankees game because I was talking to a Dodgers fan and people were throwing things at me,” Pierce wrote. “Unruly, obnoxious people can ruin everything. The worst experience ever. The game and experience is of no significance now. The spirit of sports ends with the ugliness of humanity.”
The Wire alum elaborated about the incident in a second post.

“The fact that some suburban who ha’s come to Yankee stadium to act an a—, completely ruins the artistry of Cole pitching a no hitter into the 5th, or Freeman with a 4 game consecutive home run streak: both in the World Series,” he continued, tagging the Yankees' X account. “It will mean nothing to me because all I remember will be the obnoxious fans I had to avoid.”

Pierce concluded his description of the incident in a third post, adding: “The complete opposite of the Olympic experience when competition is celebrated because of the level of expertise.”
For Pierce, rooting for both teams was part of the fun of the Series — at least, at first.
Last Friday, he was in attendance for Game 1 at Dodger Stadium and shared the excitement in a post on X about the team’s extra-innings win, after eventual World Series MVP Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off grand slam.
On Wednesday night before the Dodgers’ epic come-from-behind win, Pierce showed his enthusiasm for the home team, donning a Yankees hat.
“As I said, I’m going to root for the home team,” he said, before panning his camera to capture his seats behind home plate. “A great night for some baseball here in New York City.”
The Dodgers went on to win the game 7-6, clinching the 2024 World Series Championship.
