India’s biggest war film, #Border2.” Gadar actor also revealed that the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta and directed by Anurag Singh.
In the announcement video, Deol emphasizes the long-awaited return. He stated, “27 saal pehle ek fauji ne vada kiya tha ki vo vapas aayega. Ussi vaade ko poora karne, hindustan ki mitti ko apna salaam kehne, aa raha hai.” (Twenty-seven years ago, a soldier made a promise that he would return. He is coming to fulfill that promise, to salute the soil of India.)

Industry analyst Taran Adarsh previously reported that Border 2 will be released on October 2, 2024, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. However, the makers are yet to officially announce the release date. The original Border film had an ensemble cast, including Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, Rakhee, and Pooja Bhatt.
The film was based on the Battle of Longewala during the 1971 India-Pakistan war and left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. The cast for Border 2 has yet to be announced. However, there were rumors that Ayushmann Khurrana might be part of the film. His name is not included in the initial announcement.
