Superman, donning his iconic red, blue and yellow suit with a cape and an “S” emblem on his chest, was seen walking down the steps of Cleveland City Hall.

We first learned a new Superman movie would be filming in Ohio following $11 million in tax credits from the state. Also, local casting directors said the movie was filming in Cleveland from mid-June through mid-July in a post looking for extras for the feature.

Now, crews have even been busy bringing the movie to life and transforming downtown streets into the fictional city of Metropolis.

As of now, IMDB simply calls the movie “Superman 2025,” eluding to its release date, and says it’s expected to hit theaters July 11, 2025.

The movie starts Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman himself, according to IMDB.

Here’s the synopsis:

“Follows the titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way in a world that views this as old-fashioned.”

And it’s apt of course because Superman was created by Cleveland high schoolers Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster.
