Superman Logo Shown Off For First Time
We got our first look at the new logo for Superman (previously called Superman Legacy), and it couldn’t be more different from the last one.
Shown at CinemaCon 2024, a three-day celebration of cinema which kicked off in Las Vegas yesterday, the logo appears on a screen behind the speaker during the Superman presentation - and at 10ft high, it’s hard to miss.
The image was shared in a story on Cinemark’s Instagram account. Rendered in vivid red, with a shining gold background that seems to glow, the logo is a lot brighter than the one used to represent Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel.
However, there’s conjecture over whether this is in fact the logo for the new Superman film, or if it is in fact the logo for an upcoming Superman documentary called Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, since it was also the subject of the presentation.
In any case, we still have our first live-action shot of the logo, which director James Gunn tweeted on February. Helpfully, James Gunn also cleared up the DC timeline.
