'I survived molestation as a child': Kristy Swanson fires back after being accused of 'not supporting sexual assault victims'
Kristy Swanson revealed Tuesday on Twitter that she’s a survivor of sexual assault.
The actress — best known for playing the original Buffy Summers in the 1992 film Buffy the Vampire Slayer — made the admission after she was harshly criticized for supporting Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by two women. Swanson, 48, shared that she was molested as a child and raped at age 14. She also says that she was once falsely accused of assault, adding the hashtag “#bothsides.”
Those of u accusing me of not supporting sexual assault victims, I’ll set the record straight. I Survived molestation as a child, I Survived rape in 1984 age 14 (I recall every detail) I Also Survived being Falsely Accused of assault…publicly humiliated. #DueProcess #BothSides

In 2007, Swanson was arrested on suspicion of assault. The actress got involved in an altercation with Marcia O’Brien, the ex-wife of her then-boyfriend and current husband, Lloyd Eisler, who was her partner on Skating With Celebrities. The charges were eventually dropped.
Swanson is a self-professed “proud Republican” and is often vocal about her political views on Twitter. In recent days, she has sent out a flurry of tweets in support of Kavanaugh.
I love that every Trump Hating American who is part of the Resistance will be forced to watch @FoxNews tonight if they want to hear Brett Kavanaugh speak. That is if they believe he even deserves to be heard ?https://t.co/4U3DcODA2L

The entire interview was so good @marthamaccallum you did an excellent job. Brett and his wife are so strong! I had a lot of tears watching this too. Praying for them & our country 💔🙏🏼@FoxNews #BrettKavanuagh @realDonaldTrump🇺🇸https://t.co/Hj2m2T3EQ5

Ugh…you don’t think Judge Kavanaugh deserves to be treated fairly? Hey thanks for liking my work 🤗https://t.co/szkhupXaF3

Meanwhile, she took a jab at Kavanaugh’s accuser Christine Blasey Ford.
Guess What: I predict there is a 10% chance this “Doctor” #ChristineBlaseyFord shows up for anything, she will be a no show. Either she will flee the country or plead insanity of some sort. The whole thing plays out like a badly written predictable script. (just my gut) 😑

#ChristineBlaseyFord She is real….but she ain’t real… (just think about that)
— Kristy Swanson (@KristySwansonXO) September 24, 2018
So if if if if if…the #ChristineBlaseyFord story ends up proving itself to be a total sham. Will we Americans individually be able to file police reports on her for robbery of our many millions of taxes that have gone into this potential gong show? Just curious…just because.

In one tweet, she compared Ford to Stephen Paddock, who shot dead 58 people at Las Vegas’ Route 91 Harvest music festival last year.
Why only 1 photo? Why social media scrubbed? Anyone see the parallel of that? #JustAnObservation pic.twitter.com/bZlTrLyL4i

The Ferris Bueller’s Day Off actress has been criticized online for her messages but does not think she has said anything “implorable” about Ford.
Wait…this person is saying I threaten and say implorable things about Ford? https://t.co/DnykLOcRKQ

Swanson has not elaborated on her tweet about being a survivor of sexual assault.
