The ‘Survivor 48’ cast includes a surgeon, a stunt performer, and a debate professor: Meet them all

CBS has announced the identities of the 18 castaways who will be competing for the $1 million grand prize during Survivor 48, which will premiere with a two-hour episode on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Subsequent episodes will air every Wednesday night on CBS in 90-minute increments and stream later on Paramount+.

This marks the eighth consecutive season to feature only first-time players, a new record, with Season 40’s Survivor: Winners at War being the last one to welcome back fan-favorites. Host Jeff Probst previously told Gold Derby that the next all-stars cycle will be Season 50. “I want 50 to be a celebration. I want it to be fun,” he confirmed.

Until that 50th milestone arrives in early 2026, viewers will have Season 48 (Spring 2025) and Season 49 (Fall 2025) to look forward to. And now we know which castaways will be outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting each other in the jungles of Mamanuca Islands, Fiji for Survivor 48.

As usual, this year’s roster includes a deluge of unique and diverse voices, and they will initially be divided into three separate tribes where they’ll compete for immunity and/or reward. At the end of each episode, the losing tribe will be forced to vote out one of their own at tribal council. Midway through the competition, the remaining players will merge together into one camp, and those eliminated at that point will become members of the jury who will vote to give $1 million to the Sole Survivor.

The youngest person this time around is Eva Erickson at age 24, while the oldest is Chrissy Sarnowsky at age 55. Notable occupations include a surgeon (Cedrek McFadden), a stunt performer (David Kinne), and a debate professor (Shauhin Davari). See all of them in our gallery above.
