“The Talk” Co-Hosts Kick Off Farewell Season with Celebratory Musical Opening — Watch! (Exclusive)
Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O'Connell and Sheryl Underwood show off their singing voices in the clip, which PEOPLE can exclusively debut
The Talk co-hosts will be celebrating in song when the CBS daytime series kicks off its farewell season on Monday, Sept. 9.
PEOPLE has the exclusive premiere of the season 15 opening, which features co-hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood singing in a musical montage set to the tune of Bill Withers 1977 chart-topping hit "Lovely Day."
Directed by David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer, Role Models), the opening shows each of the hosts celebrating their individual passions as they journey onto the studio lot.
O'Connell, 50, arrives in a classic car, while Kloots, 42, rides a bicycle and Gbajabiamila, 45, sticks with a jog. As they move through the colorful chaos behind the scenes, Underwood, 60, appears on a luxurious chaise wheeled in by crew members. Morales then arrives on horseback.

From there, the co-hosts prep for the show, speaking with producers, picking out their wardrobe, getting in glam and catching up over coffee. Gbajabiamila and Kloots even get in a quick workout (jumping rope, of course) .
"If today was chaos on release / And you really need a break / Come on friend, just put up your feet / you’ll bring coffee, we’ve got cake," they sing.
"Every day is new / we are one big family," the group continues. "The audience and crew are smiling so it’s gonna be / a lovely day."
The clip ends with the co-hosts, their outfits now magically transformed into a pastel palette of show-ready looks, gathering backstage for a quick hands-in huddle before heading out to the set.

CBS announced in April that The Talk would return this fall for a shortened 15th and final season that will "celebrate the show and give it the proper sendoff it deserves."
The series, which premiered in 2010 and will officially wrap in December, has seen many hosts over the years including Julie Chen Moonves, Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, Eve, Elaine Welteroth, Carrie Ann Inaba and Marie Osmond.
In a statement to PEOPLE about the show's cancellation, CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios prexy David Stapf acknowledged the show's past and present hosts and colleagues "who contributed throughout the seasons."
"The Talk broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format," read the statement. "Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe."
"We truly appreciate the skill, creativity, and dedication everyone involved brought to the show every day,” it continued. “And of course, we thank the numerous guests who appeared, and the millions of viewers who tuned in daily."
Celebrity guests expected to appear in the first week of shows include Terry Crews, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Lacey Chabert, Dave Bautista, Dana Delany, Adam Pally Alfonso Ribeiro and Amy Brenneman. Premiere week will also debut with "5 Days of Getaways!" — a new segment where the audience will be surprised with luxurious resort stays totaling upwards of one million dollars.
A new weekly segment, "Ask the Talk," will feature the hosts answering questions and offering advice from their unique perspectives. That will air Wednesdays. There will also be "TikTalk" where the hosts react to the most viral videos of the week.
Meanwhile, "Stand Up at The Talk" — a standup comedy-focused segment — will resume on Fridays with performances from Caroline Rhea, Alonzo Bodden, Brian Kiley, Sophie Buddle and John Heffron (among others).
