Tamera Mowry-Housley recalls Kobe Bryant's guest appearance on 'Sister, Sister': 'I'll never forget his kindness'
Each co-host of The Real reacted to Kobe Bryant’s death on Monday’s episode, but Tamera Mowry-Housley revealed that she had a personal connection with the NBA superstar.
Mowry-Housley tearily shared with viewers that she first met Bryant when the two were just 19-years-old. Bryant appeared as a guest star on her sitcom, Sister, Sister.
“I remember just looking at him — he was so tall. He had just started playing for the Lakers, and I didn’t know what to expect,” said Mowry-Housley.
She continued, “I’ll never forget his humility. I’ll never forget his kindness, and even then his work ethic. He was on Sister, Sister. He was so nervous and he had, like, one or two lines, but I was like, ‘Dang! He’s so focused!”
One viewer tweeted a clip of the appearance:

Turning her focus to Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, Mowry-Housley said, “She lost two people. She has to grieve her husband and her daughter. It just breaks my heart and it shows me life is fragile, life is short.”
“The only day promised is yesterday,” said fellow panelist Adrienne Houghton.
Mowry-Housley reminded viewers, “Tell your loved ones you love ‘em.”
Viewers took to Twitter with their reactions to Bryant’s death and to Mowry-Housley’s emotional story:

Thank you so much for mentioning the other individuals who passed, and showing their pictures and names. Maybe your clip is the only place some will see them. Just thank you for thinking of them, and sending up love and good wishes. May god bless everyone involved in this :(
