Taylor Swift Fans Are ‘Getting Kansas City Ready’ for Her Return in 'Priceless' New Video
Kansas City is ready for it!
Ready for the return of Taylor Swift, that is.
With the Eras Tour officially on hiatus through November, the "So High School" songstress is presumably making her way back stateside, if she hasn't already, and local KC fans are busy readying the town for her eventual return, which we anticipate will happen sometime before Sept. 5, 2024, when the Chiefs take on the Baltimore Ravens for their first game of the NFL season.
The group of fans came together to prepare for her "move-in day," joking that they were "Doing what mom taught us to do when company is coming" in the caption of a video uploaded to Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 21 and was later spread by fans on X.
In it, they crossed an intersection toting a myriad of cleaning supplies, including a vacuum and a duster. Various clips showed them skimming debris out of a public fountain, as well as attempting to scrub the graffiti off of it, dusting and polishing statues, sweeping and vacuuming sidewalks, and even shaping topiary to spruce the place up for Swift.
"Idk what’s funnier; that America has absolutely chosen their royal couple or the fake bush trimming at the end lol," one fan wrote in response, while someone else said that the one "sweeping the ground is taking me out ??."
Fans used a variety of strong descriptors in response to the video, calling it "genius," "hilarious," "clever," and "fantasticly [sic] funny" as they flooded the comments.
"This is PRICELESS!" another Swiftie declared, while several others hoped that Swift and her beau, Travis Kelce, would see the kindhearted gesture. "They [Kansas City] are so welcoming to her," another added.
"I love how Kansas City welcomes Taylor so warmly," a third replied.
