Taylor Swift Fans Speak Out About Last-Minute Eras Tour Seating Changes for London Stop

Taylor Swift canceled her three Eras Tour shows in Vienna on Aug. 8, 9 and 10 because of a terrorist threat. Since then, ticket holders for her upcoming London were informed of last-minute seating changes—and fans are speaking out.

The pop superstar is scheduled to perform at Wembley Stadium on Aug. 15-17 and Aug. 19-20. However, many fans received emails detailing their seat reassignments for these shows (and others) but with little explanation.

One fan lamented via TikTok, "when ticketmaster decide to change your seats 2 weeks before the show to a level above your original seats," along with the sound of a woman screaming.

Another TikTok user with tickets to one of Swift's London concerts shared that he was moved from row 5 to row 27 in the same section. He pointed out that it was a "big difference" and not a move of equal value.

In the comments, a different Swiftie wrote, "I got moved for 15th from Section 123 Row 4 to Section 229 Row 11. Worse seats at same VIP package price."

Someone else shared, "We got moved from row 4 to 38 and in worse section. How is this possible...??."

"I got the exact same mail and was also moved from row 5 to 27. I'm raging," yet another ticket holder commented.

Ticketmaster's official TikTok account also popped into the comments to explain the situation, writing, "The direction we got from the promoter AEG was that certain seats had views impacted by the production (which they realized during June shows) so they were moving impacted fans."

The account added: "While we help communicate these changes, the decisions are made by the promoter. Hope this helps explain, and that you have a great time at the show."

Another TikTok user shared similar insight, pointing out, "Obviously, people have spent a lot of money on these tickets, and what Ticketmaster don't want and what the stadium doesn't want is people turning up after paying hundreds of pounds for these great seats and then not being able to see."

Although a last-minute seating change must be frustrating for fans, finding out they had an obstructed view likely would have been even more disappointing.
