Taylor Swift Takes the ‘Picture of the Decade’ With Prince William and His Kids at Eras Tour Show in London

Prince William chose a very special venue for his 42nd birthday celebration on Friday, June 21: Wembley Stadium, where Taylor Swift was kicking off her first of three consecutive Eras Tour concerts in London.

The Prince of Wales also treated his oldest son, Prince George, and daughter, Princess Charlotte, to the show, as evidenced by a couple of selfies that Swift and Kensington Palace later shared on social media. His youngest son, Prince Louis, did not appear to have attended.

In a photo that the palace shared on Instagram on Sat., June 22, Swift was seen posing for a selfie as the royals stood behind her. All four individuals wore huge smiles on their faces as the princess stood just beside the pop star and William placed a hand on his son’s shoulder.

“Thank you @taylorswift for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour,” the palace wrote to caption the photo.

Swift, 34, also shared a different selfie with the royals on social media that included her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

“Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start ??????????,” the “Cruel Summer” songstress wrote.

Swifties were thrilled to see William’s choice of birthday celebrations as many pointed out that he has known the pop star for years.

“Prince William is the Swiftie, he only took Prince George and Princess Charlotte as a cover up! ????,” one Instagram user wrote on Instagram.

“Princess Charlotte's genuine joy is everything,” one person commented as another gushed over George’s “brightest smile.”

“This is actually the cutest picture ever. Core memory for Charlotte right there ??,” another fan wrote of the selfie with Swift, William, George and Charlotte.

Several people who commented on the photo that included Kelce noted the two kinds of “royalty” on display as one person dubbed it the “Picture of the decade.”

“Wow, basically UK’s Royal family and the World’s Royal Family in the same picture,” one person tweeted.

“USA and UK royalty,” another fan agreed.
