The winners were selected by the TCA’s membership of more than 230 professional television journalists from across the United States and Canada. Fan-favorite shows “Hacks,” “Baby Reindeer,” and “Doctor Who” also won numerous awards, as did docuseries “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids” and reality show “The Traitors.”
“It was a year of brilliant television, from an epic historical drama to a harrowing documentary,” Jacqueline Cutler, TCA president, said. “We’re thrilled to honor all who created these shows, often against great odds, as many were worked on during the pandemic and stopped for the strikes. Congratulations to all of the winners.”
The TCA additionally honored David Lynch and Mark Frost’s “Twin Peaks” with the Heritage Award to recognize the significance and impact of the beloved series that debuted in 1990.
In addition to the series awards, actor Andre Braugher was feted with the Career Achievement honor for his roles on “Homicide: Life On The Street,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Thief,” “BoJack Horseman,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Men of a Certain Age,” “House,” “The Good Fight,” and more.
