Thandie Newton Shares Photo of 2-Year-Old Son Breastfeeding: 'This Is What My Body Is Made For'
For Thandie Newton, breast is best — at least when it comes to feeding her own son.
On Saturday, the British mom of three shared a selfie on Instagram showing her breastfeeding her 2-year-old son Booker Jombe at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk, England.
“Perfect happiness,” the award-winning Crash actress, 43, wrote alongside the photo. “This is what my body is made for.
“And the rest is my choice,” she finished, tacking on the hashtag, “#Freedom.”

Aside from the serene nursing photo, Newton also shared a separate glimpse into the twosome’s environmentally friendly transport to the music festival.
“Off to @latitudefest with my Booker,” she wrote next to a photo of herself on a bicycle, with her toddler strapped safely into a seat affixed to the back.
Aside from Booker, the ER alum is also mom to daughters Nico, 11, and Ripley, 15, with director and producer husband Ol Parker. She is a big supporter of more natural forms of parenting and gave birth to all three of her children at home.
“I’d never been in hospital as a child or as an adult really, and I just associated hospital with being ill,” she said in 2014 after Booker’s birth. “And I felt beautiful and healthy and wonderful when I was pregnant, and being at home was the place I felt most relaxed and comfortable.”
