The ‘Cash Me Ousside’ Girl Will Return To ‘Dr. Phil’

On The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert got Dr. Phil to respond to allegations that he exploited mentally ill actress Shelley Long and that what he does is, as The Daily Beast describes it, “a crass pantomime of psychology.”

Or not. They instead talked about (and mocked) the “Cash Me Ousside” girl from the popular viral meme. TV personality and innovator of the popular idiom “You don’t need a pack of wild horses to learn how to make a sandwich,” Dr. Phil McGraw, coyly discussed Danielle, a 13-year-old troubled teen who was brought on The Dr. Phil Show by her mother back in September.

She introduced the world to a new form of nearly unintelligible trash talk and dropped the line “Cash me ousside. How bow dah?” while threatening the audience to fight her. The Internet pounced and spun her mumble-mouthed threat into gold.

Stephen Colbert urged Dr. Phil to expound upon this internet viral sensation using all of the tools he accumulated from his PhD studies as well as his 30+ years experience in clinical psychology.

Dr. Phil also went on The View on Thursday to talk about the meme, and again did his best impression of Danielle. A Dr. Phil does as a Dr. Phil is gonna do. If that’s not a Dr. Phil-ism, it should be.

Danielle was sent to a 60-day intensive therapeutic program after her appearance, and will return to the show once again next week, because fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on Dr. Phil.
