Dearest Gentle Reader, Part 2 of “Bridgerton” Season 3 is almost upon us.

This season focuses on the relationship between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, childhood best friends turned lovers.

Part 1 of "Bridgerton" Season 3 ended with a proposal from Colin and viewers waiting to hear Penelope’s answer.

Part 2 will focus on the couple exploring their new relationship as well as the secret that hangs over Penelope’s head: That she is Lady Whistledown.

What year is ‘Bridgerton’ set in?

“Bridgerton” includes two characters who were real-life historical monarchs – King George III and Queen Charlotte, who ruled the United Kingdom from 1760 to 1820. So it can be assumed that the show takes place in the late 1700s or early 1800s.

The Regency Era in England was also around this time, from 1811-1820.
