Timothy Olyphant Was the Victim of Voyeurism But Didn’t Have a Problem With It

Timothy Olyphant, star of the new Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet, stopped by Ellen on Monday and shared a story about the time he was the star of some risqué photos that could have gone public. Olyphant was unaware these photos even existed until he got a phone call from the Los Angeles Police Department. It seems Olyphant’s gym had a voyeur in the locker room who had been taking pictures of unsuspecting gym-goers. A police officer recognized Olyphant in the snapshots and called him personally to tell him about them and to let him know that none of the photos would get out. But that wasn’t Olyphant’s biggest concern.

“I say, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. It’s never going to get out?’ And he says, ‘No. It’s not a problem.’ And I say, ‘Well, how do I look?’,” said Olyphant.

He didn’t specify when this occurred, but if the police officer recognized him, Olyphant had to be doing all right. But in his mind, things could have been even better.

“Let’s think this through here. We could turn this frown around,” Olyphant joked, adding, “I don’t know what the angle is, but this could be… Careers have been made out of perhaps less.”
