Tom Cruise Reenacts His Entire Film Career With James Corden
On Wednesday’s The Late Late Show, Tom Cruise recreated his entire film career in just a few minutes. Armed with props, a green screen, and James Corden, Tom Cruise dove into his many iconic films.
The piece began with the classic Top Gun line, “I feel the need. The need for speed.” Then Cruise and Corden ran through the entire Mission Impossible franchise. Corden repeatedly shot Cruise dead during the Edge of Tomorrow bit. Cruise retaliated in the Minority Report spoof by describing Corden as a suspect with a “fake British accent,” “the physique of a snowman,” and “zero muscles.”
Switching from Eyes Wide Shut to A Few Good Men, Cruise forgot to take off his wig, which led to an awkward courtroom scene with a military lawyer with shoulder-length hair.
The highlight of the piece came during the Jerry Maguire reenactment. Corden was interrupted by Cuba Gooding Jr. to deliver his famous line, “Show me the money!”
The Late Late Show airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
