Top downtown Phoenix restaurant closes after 5 years. 'Meant so much to me and my family'

Award-winning downtown Phoenix southern restaurant The Larder + The Delta announced on Friday, Oct. 13, that it has closed its doors for good.

In an Instagram post announcing the closure, chef and owner Stephen Jones, who was nominated for a James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef in 2022, said he was "unable to reach a deal on a new lease" with their landlord.

"I want to say thank you to so many people who have supported us along this amazing journey in downtown phoenix but first foremost I’d like to say thank you to all the staff that has ever come through these doors, I love you all so much and you have meant so much to me and my family. THANK YOU TO MY FAMILY we have had a hard last year, I LOVE YOU ALL!!" read the post.

Fans of The Larder + The Delta can still visit the restaurant's location inside the Footprint Center during Phoenix Suns games, as well as at future pop-up events in Phoenix and Flagstaff.
