Tracee Ellis Ross attended a Harper’s Bazaar cocktail party held yesterday during New York Fashion Week.
Created by Ferragamo’s Creative Director Maximilian Davis, Ross sported a pair of purple feather-laden pumps from the brand’s extensive catalog of footwear. Known simply as the pump with feathers, the designer style is pure high-octane glamour, featuring deep purple and white ostrich feather appliques throughout all applied by hand along with sharp triangular pointed toes. The footwear pick’s textural feather appliques offer the otherwise classic pump silhouette a playful elevated touch.
Stilettos standing at approximately 4.1 inches in height round out the set, offering the wearer a substantial boost. If purple isn’t your thing, the Ferragamo silhouette also comes in a neutral black hue. The feather-adorned heel retails for $2,400 on the brand’s website. Area, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Dries Van Noten and Gianvito Rossi also feature mules, kitten heels and sandals fixed with colorful feathers, much like Ross’ choice.

The “American Fiction” star paired her feathered footwear with a maxi-length Ferragamo dress in a mustard yellow. The garment featured sheer mesh sections along with billowing sleeves and an asymmetric hem. A black bra was layered underneath, offering Ross extra coverage. Held in her hand, Ross wore a bright red clutch made of a satin ruby red fabric. The red touch mirrored the same idea in her makeup, tying together her red lipstick choice.
Ross always gives a masterclass in style. Her shoe wardrobe is just as impressive, ranging from pumps to sandals and boots from labels like Versace, Andrea Wazen and Gucci, among other top brands. When she’s not in heels, the Golden Globe Award winner will likely complete her looks with various sneaker silhouettes. She always offers sneaker outfit inspiration by proving that classic kicks can be styled in several different ways.
