The Traitors: Alan Cumming’s Best Season 3 Looks, Ranked!
Alan Cumming understood the assignment.
The stunning host of Peacock’s The Traitors came to Scotland dressed to impress once again. From elegantly stitched suits and plaids to all sorts of outrageous regalia, a reality TV series has never looked this good.

With Season 3 now officially wrapped (click here to read our finale recap), we’ve taken on the arduous task of splitting hairs (and threads) in order to rank some of Cumming’s best looks from the season. We’ve selected our favorite ‘fits from each episode below and even added a few pics of the adorable Lala for good measure. (Little daddy’s girl, that one.)

11. Moss Boss (Episode 4)
A moss-enhanced blazer with a matching beret and sheer accoutrements? Quite dapper, indeed! And to think: This is the ‘fit we’re ranking last?! No shade to Cumming’s subdued (by comparison) nature look, but its placement here is more of a nod to the excellency that follows below.
10. Tickled Teal (Episode 6)
The shiny sleeves are certainly eye-catching, but it’s the beret and popping teal tie combo that really tickle our fancy. It’s glam, yes, but also semi-profesh. Could even wind up as my next wedding garb. 5/5. No notes.
9. The Grand Entrance (Episode 1)
First of all, plaid kilt? Hell yes. But that navy cape with his initials stitched in? The cobalt lining? Fab. The fact that he made his wowing premiere entrance on horseback is also not lost on us. How regal!
8. The Puffy Shirt (Episode 8)
Jerry Seinfeld wishes. These puffy sleeves look like they were made for Cumming, and not only do they pair nicely with that complex bow, but we’re again giving bonus points for color here. We’re not exactly sure who he’s talking to on the phone here, but it’s certainly not the fashion police.
7. The Chess Master (Episode 9)
The red and pink fabric with the half-palm gloves? Divine. But we actually loved the more simplistic breakfast look a tad more, with Alan’s hair tied up in a teeny-tiny pony. Adding the jacket makes it a little too busy (though we do love that it matched the chess challenge theme), but the headpiece is campy and fun!
6. Regal Royal (Episode 10)
Royal blue perfectly suits Mr. Cumming. From the puffy shoulders and gold overlay to the arm-length gloves, this look certainly has some pop to it. Throw in the matching blue kilt and socks, and what can we say? We’re here for it.
5. Purple Power (Episode 11)
Is Alan’s finale lewk velvet or velour? The jury’s out. But what we are certain of: Cumming looks excellent in eggplant. It’s no surprise that the host rocks a mean hat game, but that print? That shine? That delicious belt that ties it all together (literally and figuratively)? It’s enough to crack this list’s Top 5 ‘fits.
4. Vaudeville Villain (Episode 3)
The shiny fabric of the pants gets a gold star, but it’s the top hat with matching sash that lands this piece in the top half of our ranking. One can never go wrong with a sleek and slimming black base. Plus, the playful make-up for the episode’s twisted and creepy challenge adds a plump and juicy cherry right on top. Bravo!
3. Always the Bride (Episode 7)
From black to white and cream, Cumming has more than proven over the last three seasons that he can do and wear it all. The veil draws attention to his styled blonde curl, and the boutonnière is beyond extra in the best way possible. Fierce with a capital F.
2. Clad in Plaid (Episode 2)
We cannot get enough of this yellow plaid. When matched with that see-through quasi-netted skirt, it’s top-tier vogue. (Also, is this technically a skirt for a skirt? Can we get a close-up of the boots? We have some follow-up Qs and we’re ready to take notes.) The corset-like top also helps solidify this one as a stone-cold stunner.
1. Statuesque Glamour (Episode 5)
All of the dramatic flourishes in this list could’ve battled it out for our No. 1 spot, but this lustrous suit with its floor length embellishments is simply magic. From the sharp shoes to the well-crafted headpiece, this is head-to-toe perfection. The tailoring is on point, and the entire outfit’s sheen? Exquisite.
Category Is: Canine Couture
We promised you puppy content and here at TVLine, we keep our promises. Lala’s Red Riding Hood Realness gets very high marks from our dog-loving contingents (read: all of us), and the fact that she has her own throne? We are snapping our fingers in admiration.
Like Father, Like Daughter
Plaid fabric to match her snazzily dressed owner? A bright and shiny l’il broach? Lala’s outfit here might be more expensive than everything in my closet combined, but hey. This doggo deserves the world.
So what new looks will Alan serve at the roundtable in the season’s last episodes? Stayed tuned, as we’ll be adding new pics to this list throughout the end of Season 3.
