Travis Kelce's Childhood Friend Shares Honest Opinion of Taylor Swift at NFL Games

Anyone who knows an inkling about Taylor Swift and her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce has heard how intense the attention on the singer is when she attends football games.

Well, according to Kelce's longtime best friend, Aric Jones, this has changed nothing for the football player and their friends. "We stay loyal to ourselves," he told Page Six about the situation. "We stay loyal to our beginnings, stay true to our roots and who we are."

Jones also addressed the wave of fame and attention that comes with Swift's presence at Chiefs games.

"I’m never going to downplay [the hype] or to say [the new attention] isn’t the coolest stuff in the world. But, at the same time, all we got to do is be us. And the only thing that’s changed is that there’s a camera in the suite now.”

The founder of the brand Homebred Legends also praised Swift's character, noting that she makes the experience of watching Kelce's games more enjoyable.

"Taylor’s great. Taylor’s her own woman," he said. "At the end of the day, just having her there and having her presence there is awesome. She’s there to cheer on her boyfriend and hang out with us and, to be quite honest, that’s enough.”

Ahead of the Chiefs' Super Bowl win earlier this year, Swift was spotted hanging out with Jones and others in a suite at the AFC Championship game.

Thanks to Jones, Swifties got a behind-the-scenes look at the fun night with Swift, including a shot of the songstress wearing one of the AFC Championship hats after the Chiefs won.

With any luck, the Chiefs will have just as successful a run this season, and Jones and Swift can party together in the suite again.
