Triumph the Insult Comic Dog viciously roasts “The View” cohosts live on air

"I love 'The View,' it's inspiring, it's empowering. Women feel safe, here — except from other women."

The View just stepped in it — and by "it," we mean comedy gold after Triumph the Insult Comic Dog dropped several hilarious jokes at the Hot Topics table.

The famed insult puppet (voiced and operated by comedian Robert Smigel) stopped by the show on Friday to roast the panelists, including Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

"I was at Joy Behar's 80th birthday party. I performed. Oh, what a night it was. It was open-bar and open-casket. Joy, you and I both got so drunk, we were fighting over who got to sniff Hillary Clinton's chair," Triumph quipped. "You're beautiful, she still looks beautiful, doesn't she? 81 years old, now. Joy, you realize you're 81, you're old enough to run for president — and to watch The View! You're right in the demographic of The View now."

The audience laughed before Triumph moved on to his next target: the entire table.

"I kid, I love The View. It's inspiring, it's empowering. Women feel safe, here — except from other women," he joked, later setting his sights on Griffin, the show's conservative panelist.

"This show wasn't affected by the actors strike was it?" Triumph asked. "I think you're all excellent actors, like the way you four girls all act like you're interested in Alyssa's opinions."

The segment also included Triumph attempting to cover Behar's mouth with a comically extended, furry arm, and, of course, copious amounts of cigars.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
