Trump suggests he didn't read Melania's upcoming memoir: 'Hope she said good things'
WASHINGTON - Former President Donald Trump suggested at a rally in New York Thursday that he didn’t read his wife Melania Trump’s upcoming memoir documenting her journey to the White House.
“Go out and get her book,” Trump said at the rally. “She just wrote a book. I hope she said good things about (me). I don't know. I didn't - so busy. She just wrote a book called Melania go out and buy it, it's great."
“And if she says bad things about me, I'll call you all up and I'll say, 'Don't buy it, get rid of it,’” Trump added.
Melania Trump has rarely been seen on the campaign trail since Donald Trump launched his 2024 presidential bid.
She did, however, make an appearance at the Republican National Convention in July and issued a lengthy statement following an assassination attempt on her husband.
Her memoir, which is expected to be released on Oct. 8, details her childhood in Slovenia, her modeling career, her relationship with Donald Trump, her journey into motherhood, her tenure as First Lady and her advocacy work, according to Skyhorse Publishing.
