TVLine Items: 1923 Adds The Chosen Alum, Invincible Trailer and More
1923 has chosen a new cast member from The Chosen: Andy Dispensa will play a recurring role in Season 2 of the Paramount+ Western, our sister site Variety reports.
Dispensa — who appeared as Dion on The CW’s Biblical drama The Chosen — will play Luca, “a young man working in the engine room of a merchant ship,” per the official description. He joins a cast that already features Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer and more.

In Season 2 of 1923 (premiering Sunday, Feb. 23), “a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob and Cara back at Dutton ranch. * Netflix has released its talent lineup for its Christmas Day NFL coverage, which kicks off at 11 am ET with a pre-game show featuring Kay Adams, Drew Brees, Robert Griffin III, Mina Kimes and Manti Te’o (in Los Angeles), and Laura Rutledge, Devin McCourty and Jason McCourty (in Pittsburgh). * Ali Vitali will take over as anchor of MSNBC’s morning news program Way Too Early, replacing Jonathan Lemire, beginning Jan. 6, according to Variety.
* Prime Video has released the official trailer for Season 3 of the animated superhero series Invincible, premiering Thursday, Feb. 6:
