TVLine Items: Citadel Adds Matt Berry, Real Housewives Spinoff and More

Citadel is beefing up its ensemble with two new additions.

Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows) and Gabriel Leone (Ferrari) are set to recur in Season 2 of the Prime Video spy thriller, our sister site Deadline reports. Details on who they’re playing have not yet been released.

Executive-produced by Anthony and Joe Russo, aka the Russo Brothers, the series tells the story of the fallen global spy agency Citadel and its enemy syndicate Manticore, which has risen to fill the void.

Returning cast includes Richard Madden, Priyanka-Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville. And as previously reported, Jack Raynor (Strange Angel) has been tapped for a yet-to-be-revealed role.

Production on Season 2 — which will see Joe Russo direct — begins later this year.

* Bravo is developing a Real Housewives of New York City spinoff starring Dorinda Medley and set at the Berkshires estate, according to Deadline. Similar to Vanderpump Villa, the new show would follow Medley as she oversees a young staff servicing the guests staying on her property.

* Hulu has set a Friday, Sept. 27 release date for Andscape’s romance film She Taught Love, starring Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) and Darrell Britt-Gibson (Barry), per Deadline. It will simultaneously release in select theaters.

The story centers on an actor coasting through life on booze, women and drugs while auditioning to play stereotypical gang members and drug dealers. His life is upended when he meets a sports agent who lives for the present and who is forced to face her own mortality.

* Netflix has released a trailer for the documentary Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough, narrated by the famed broadcaster and premiering Wednesday, Aug. 7:
