TWD: Daryl Dixon Recap: A Romance Blossoms, a Plan Withers, and It’s Au Revoir, [Spoiler]
In Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, a spirited game of hot potato is played — with Laurent in the role of the potato.
Every Walking Dead Series, Ranked
First, after escaping the Guirriers’ attack on the Nest (here’s how it happened), the boy takes what must qualify as the saddest-ever sightseeing tour of Paris on his way to the Eiffel Tower. There, no sooner do poorly barricaded walkers figure out how easy sandbag walls are to knock over than Laurent is reunited with Isabelle and Daryl… only to be immediately kidnapped. His abductors, the last man standing reveals under duress, are Quinn’s flunkies. But of course, Isa realizes. Quinn has taken his son to get to her. Not a problem, Daryl says. He’ll force the flunky to help him sneak into the Demimonde while the nun rendezvouses with Sylvie and the boat that’s supposed to get Laurent the hell out of Dodge.

‘GO IN AS ONE, COME OUT AS ONE’ | While Fallou, Emile and a skeleton crew from the Nest create a distraction at the entrance to the Demimonde, Daryl, after abandoning his loathsome guide to become Walker Chow, goes in the back way. Quinn’s girlfriend Anna has been tasked with guarding Laurent, but since he’s lovely and Quinn is awful, she just lets Daryl walk out with the boy. Not even Quinn can stop Daryl, who probably would’ve killed the creep, had his son not been watching.
Once Daryl has reunited Laurent with Isa, she admits that they will need Quinn’s connections to get out of Paris. And the only way to obtain his help… is for her to remain. Laurent is crushed but agrees to go with Daryl. Not even Sylvie goes with them. Smitten with Emile, she decides to remain in Paris and help the Nest build its community. Of course, even as all of this is going on, Genet is lurking. She agrees to trade Quinn a Monet for “the American.” And, though Quinn lies that he has no idea where Laurent is, he’s still in grave danger: The villainess sees the “false hope” that he represents as a threat to her dominance.
Your thoughts on the episode? Isa’s reluctant return to Quinn? Her possible feelings for Daryl? And what was with that vision he had of Laurent praying his way through a pack of walkers?
