Tyler James Williams, Dulé Hill, Wendell Pierce Set for Honors at the Creative Coalition’s Humanitarian Awards Benefit Gala

Tyler James Williams, Dulé Hill, Wendell Pierce and Jeffrey Ross will be feted with the Humanitarian Awards at the Creative Coalition’s 10th annual Humanitarian Awards Benefit Luncheon Gala.

The gala, which Variety’s Marc Malkin will host, will honor the actors for their work with charitable and social welfare causes. Other honorees will be announced at a later date.

“The Humanitarian Awards shine a light on the transformative power of compassion and the unwavering determination of individuals who strive to make a meaningful difference,” Tim Daly, actor and president of the Creative Coalition, said in a statement. “It serves as a powerful reminder that each of us possesses the ability to inspire change and uplift humanity through our actions and empathy.”

James Williams is best known for his turn as Gregory in the ABC comedy hit “Abbott Elementary;” Hill is best known for playing Gus in “Psych;” Pierce has appeared in hit shows like “The Wire,” “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” “Suits” and “Elizabeth” and Ross is a respected comedian and prominent guest on Comedy Central’s “Roast.”

All proceeds from the special charity event benefit the Creative Coalition’s year-round work to protect and advance the arts. Honorees will spotlight their charitable causes including the Every Child Thrives Campaign, the PBS series “The Express Way with Dulé Hill,” the NOCCA Foundation, and the Entertainment Industry Commission on Caregiving. Variety is the media partner of the Humanitarian Awards.

“The Humanitarian Awards are a beacon of hope, illuminating the remarkable individuals who leverage their platform and influence to advocate for meaningful causes,” Robin Bronk, the Creative Coalition’s CEO, added. “It underscores the profound impact of art and activism, inspiring us to unite in creating a more compassionate world for everyone.”

The gala will be held on Sept. 14 at Ladyhawk in West Hollywood.
