Tyrese Gibson Says Judge 'Hates My Guts' in Ongoing Dispute Over Child Support with His Ex-Wife (Exclusive)
The 'Fast & Furious' actor was arrested on Monday, Sept. 9, after failing to send child support to his ex-wife, Samantha Lee
Tyrese Gibson alleges the judge overseeing the child support dispute between him and his ex-wife "hates my guts."
The singer and actor, 45, was arrested in Fulton County, Ga., on Monday, Sept. 9, after the judge found him in contempt of court. He was ordered to pay $73,500 to avoid jail time.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Gibson alleges the judge has a vendetta against him.
He "hates my guts," Gibson says of the judge, adding, "He wants to assert his power and he doesn't care who's watching."
“It's unbearable being in court with him," Gibson says.
The actor's arrest followed Lee's motion for him to be held in contempt after he allegedly didn't pay child support. The judge ruled that Gibson could be released from jail once he "purges himself of contempt" by paying approximately $73,500 to Fulton County officials.
Based on court records obtained by PEOPLE, Gibson plans to appeal the ruling.
Gibson, who also shares 17-year-old daughter Shayla with his ex-wife Norma Mitchell, aired his grievances via his Instagram Stories early Tuesday, Sept. 10.

"Getting arrested wasn't easy...As a matter of fact it was very traumatic...One would ask why does this judge...and my ex Samantha...HATE ME SO MUCH?"
Ahead of his hearing on Monday, GIbson suggested he would possibly be arrested and maintained that although he was fighting with his ex in court, he has "never not taken care of my kids."
"I am dad. And you know why I’m dad? Not because of what I bought them, not because of the clothes, not because of the square footage of the house, not because of the cars in the driveway and definitely not because of this fake jewelry I wear," Gibson said in his video. "I’m a father because that exchange between your son or your daughter is nothing that can be purchased."
