Tyrese Gibson, Vin Diesel Emotionally Reunite At ‘1992’ Premiere

Vin Diesel surprised Tyrese Gibson on the red carpet during the 1992 film premiere. Their Fast And Furious franchise costar Michelle Rodriguez was also there for the heartwarming moment. Gibson shared an emotional clip on social media following the Hollywood link-up.

“I am forever indebted I never ever expect anything from anyone because in most cases they will let you down every time…..,” wrote the 45-year-old. “When big bro hit that corner @vindiesel with the QUEEN!!!!! Our true RIDE OR DIE in @mrodofficial I lost it…. I just lost it.”

He continued to detail, “It’s been a very very long and grueling 3 weeks on album and movie promo and this is the big I needed BADLY these hugs were good to my soul…”

An additional video from the red carpet from the Associated Press features Diesel detailing his loyalty to Gibson.

“We’re at this really interesting time right now in Hollywood and the first people I’m going to support is the family that’s been recognized by the world. The ‘fast family,'” explained the 57-year-old.

“And so, the idea of him coming off and starring in a movie and making a movie about time that we all remember which was 1992, I just gotta be there. I gotta just support that and encourage him to continue his artistry because I think he’s so good.”

Alongside Gibson, 1992 stars Scott Eastwood, Christopher A’mmanuel, Clé Bennett, Ori Piefer, Oleg Taktarov, Dylan Arnold, Michael Beasley, and Ray Liotta in his final film role.

Directed by Ariel Vromen with a story by Sascha Penn, 1992 follows Mercer, played by Tyrese, whose life collides with a father and son (Ray Liotta and Scott Eastwood) as he tries to protect his son (Christopher A’mmanuel) during the aforementioned infamous Los Angeles riots.

“It’s about to be a real monumental moment for the West,” explained Gibson to VIBE earlier this year. “This is a real movie that’s based out of the West, historically from the West. When the Rodney King verdict came in they let all them police officers off and said, ‘Not guilty,’ we burned the city down. And in the midst of that, there was a heist that took place.”
