Tyshawn Jones and A$AP Ferg Switch Roles in New Hardies Series ‘I Bet I Can Do That’
I have to assume we’ve all heard the phrase ‘put yourself in their shoes,’ at least once or twice in our lives, but how often do we actually do it?
Well, two figures who certainly need no introduction—Tyshawn Jones and A$AP Ferg—put this idea to the test in the new Hardies series, ‘I Bet I Can Do That,’ and let’s just say, they both come away a bit humbled. This is rad! Check it out:
"I just wanna lift the skateboard," says Ferg. "Do I gotta tape my feet to the board?"
Honestly, it might sound like a silly question, but it’s also totally fair to ask. If you don’t skate regularly—or, in this case, at all—trying it out isn’t just a straight up challenge, it’s hard to simply even grasp what you’re seeing. Plus, watching one of the best skateboarders in the world make it look ‘easy’ can be genuinely confusing for someone like Ferg. Shoot, it's confusing for me!

And in total fairness, what A$AP Ferg does in and out of the studio is no walk in the park, either. It takes talent, sure, but to be as successful as he is takes a lot more than talent. You need to be on at all times, never slowing down, never slipping—it's heavy. I can really appreciate how humbled these two are all throughout the video. Their conversations are super real—a serious fly on the wall moment for all.
At the same time, watching these two thrive in their own worlds was a treat. Of course it’s fun to see them step out of their comfort zones, but even more eye-opening to witness just how impressive they are at their respective crafts. In the end, it all comes down to passion—and these two have plenty of it.
