Upcoming season of 'RHONY' is 'going to be awesome,' says Bravo insider
Months have passed since Season 9 of The Real Housewives of New York City wrapped to resounding applause from longtime viewers and fans. The cast of Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, LuAnn de Lesseps, Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley, and Tinsley Mortimer is a coterie one might call flawless or serendipitous.
Between Mexican romps, falls in the bushes, and clip-tastrophes of divided friendships, fans were left unexpectedly thrilled with the season, which has officially raised the bar for what works and what doesn’t.
Daryn Carp, a Bravo insider and Andy Cohen‘s chief of staff, stopped by The Morning Breath on Thursday to assure fans that Season 10, which is currently being filmed, will be equally hilarious and superb.
“It’s going to be great. From everything I’ve heard, all the rumors going around, it’s going to be awesome,” Carp told us.
New seasons usually premiere around mid-April. Bravo junkies are expecting OG Housewife de Lesseps to steal the storyline for the third year in a row. After two seasons of “Please don’t let it be about Tom,” it’s finally not completely about Tom, considering the show’s royalty was arrested three months after filing for divorce and exactly one year after her Palm Beach wedding.
“Every time I read her rap sheet, it’s just as crazy as the first time,” host Jackie Oshry says of the divorcée’s charges for disorderly intoxication, trespassing, and assault on a police officer.
Rest assured that the former countess’s legal woes will be front and center as she enters counseling and seeks emotional refuge with her friends and castmates. Despite her troubles, the mother of two will always have a home with the Housewives and her array of loyal viewers.
Carp adds that the 52-year-old just happens to be her favorite Housewife. “I think she’s the same off camera as she is on. She just is the countess.”
