‘Upload’ Casts Lee Majdoub In 4th & Final Season; Tomaso Sanelli Joins ‘Overcompensating’
EXCLUSIVE: Lee Majdoub (Sonic The Hedgehog 2) has joined the cast of Prime Video’s Upload for its fourth and final season in a recurring role. Details are being kept under wraps. Upload, which blends sci-fi with romantic comedy, is set in a technologically advanced future where holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D food printers are the norm. And instead of dying, people can be “uploaded” to a virtual reality afterlife, enjoying all the comforts of a world-class resort at a top-of-the-line place such as Lakeview — provided they can afford it. Created and executive produced by Greg Daniels, the Amazon MGM Studios-produced show stars Robbie Amell and Andy Allo. Majdoub can most recently be seen reprising his Agent Stone character in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and recently wrapped production on Sonic The Hedgehog 3. He is repped by Alan Siegel Entertainment and Red Management.
EXCLUSIVE: Tomaso Sanelli (Longing) is set for a key recurring role in Benito Skinner’s Amazon comedy series Overcompensating. Created by Skinner inspired by his life, Overcompensating is a college-set ensemble comedy about the wild, chaotic journey of Benny (Skinner), a closeted former football player and homecoming king, as he becomes fast friends with Carmen, a high school outsider on a mission to fit in at all costs. With guidance from Benny’s older sister and her campus-legend boyfriend, Benny and Carmen juggle horrible hookups, flavored vodka, and fake IDs. Deeply funny and personal, the show explores the lengths to which we all overcompensate while on the path to finding out who we really are. Sanelli plays Trent, a cute freshman jock who isn’t very interested in schoolwork. Trent immediately sees Carmen as the kind of girl he can use to do his homework. Sanelli can currently be seen in the Lionsgate feature Longing opposite Richard Gere, and previously starred in the Sony feature Thanksgiving directed by Eli Roth. He’s repped by Noble Caplan Abrams and Vault Entertainment.
