Uzo Aduba Welcomes First Baby, Daughter Adaiba: 'I've Joined the Club'
The actress revealed she was pregnant and expecting a baby with husband Robert Sweeting while appearing at the 2023 Tony Awards
Uzo Aduba is a mom!
The Orange Is the New Black alum, 42, has welcomed a baby girl with husband Robert Sweeting, she revealed on Instagram Thursday.
The couple welcomed a daughter named Adaiba Lee Nonyem.
"My daughter. I’ve never been in love so quickly, so deeply in my entire life," she wrote. "I really don’t know what to say, guys. My heart is full. Thank you, God."
"I have joy like a fountain. I have witnessed a miraculous thing, and I feel blessed to know you are ours. We love you so much, Adaiba Lee Nonyem - Daughter of the people, treasurer of the mother’s names who came before you."
The actress raved, "I’m a Mommy, you guys. Motherhood. I’ve joined the club. I hear the dues are high, but the membership is completely worth it :) #grateful."

In September, the actress celebrated her "Bey-bee's first concert" as she posed for photos ahead of the Beyoncé performance in Los Angeles.
"Bey-bee’s first concert. It was incredible to step out with our Little One and my girl, @idaravictor to see the one and only ?????? @beyonce What a spectacular show," Aduba wrote.
In June, Aduba revealed she was pregnant while appearing at the 2023 Tony Awards. A rep for the couple also confirmed the exciting news to PEOPLE.
"The happy couple is over the moon about their growing family and are excited to be parents," an insider shared at the time.
In September 2021, a source confirmed to PEOPLE the actress and Sweeting had gotten married quietly in 2020 in New York.
