Venom 3 Villain: Who Are Klyntar’s Symbiote Hive Monsters in the Last Dance?
The new Venom: The Last Dance trailer has dropped, and fans have many questions, the most important one being, “Who are the Klyntar symbiote monsters and villains in the movie?” The first two Venom films lent a brief tease of Venom’s home planet and its inhabitants through the introductions of the Riot and Carnage symbiotes. But now the third installment is firing on all cylinders when it comes to exploring the backstory of Eddie Brock’s lovable but strange symbiote companion.
So who exactly are the Klyntar symbiote monster villains in Venom 3? Where do they come from? Here’s all you need to know.
Who are the Klyntar Symbiote monster villains in Venom 3?
The Klyntar Symbiote monster villains in Venom 3 are creatures native to Venom’s homeworld, Klyntar.
As teased by the Venom 3: The Last Dance trailer, the Klyntar manages to track him down and launches a full-scale assault on Earth to capture him after he has become a fugitive from them following the events of the first film. This complicates matters for Venom and by extension Tom Hardy‘s Eddie Brock. This is because, following their status as fugitives at the end of Let There Be Carnage, they are currently under investigation by the US authorities.
Klyntar’s origin and backstory in Venom 3 explained
The Klyntar’s origin and backstory were first explored in Venom #4 by Ryan Stegman and Donny Cates. Here Eddie Brock encounters the essence of Knull, who is established in Marvel Comics as the King in Black or the God of Symbiotes.
According to Screen Rant, many years ago, Knull created the Klyntar or the symbiotes from the abyss to help him reclaim and restore the darkness that existed long before the creation of the Marvel Universe. Knull had control and influence over the creatures’ minds and used them to exert great influence over the cosmos. However, the symbiotes eventually broke free from their master’s control and imprisoned him on a ‘planet’ with a collection of multiple symbiotes whose sole purpose was to keep the King in Black locked away.
After locking up Knull, the symbiotes dubbed their race and their planet, the Klyntar, which, according to them, translates to the word ‘cage.’
