One wedding that will forever be a part of pop culture history is that of Victoria and David Beckham. And now, the couple has recreated the moment for all of us to reminisce on.

Posh Spice and the soccer star—also known as Posh and Becks—married on July 4, 1999, in Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland. The wedding was a lavish yet intimate affair, with only 29 guests in attendance—including Victoria’s Spice Girls bandmates Mel B, Mel C, and Emma Bunton, (not Geri Halliwell).

The Beckhams matched in incredible ivory looks to say “I do,” and later did a quick change into the most iconic bright purple ensembles for the party.

Victoria’s was a purple gown with a vibrant red inside layer, a rosette-covered shoulder strap, and a high leg slit. She wore it with silver heels with straps that went all up her legs. David’s was a silky purple double-breasted suit with a matching button-down and coordinating suede shoes.

For the reception, the pair reportedly welcomed a much larger guest list of about 230 people. They sat on matching gold thrones and shared their first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “It Had to Be You.”

Ahead of their 25th wedding anniversary, Victoria and David rewore their purple ensembles—which somehow still fit them perfectly—and shared a photo of them in the looks on Instagram. In the shot, the couple is even sitting in their golden wedding thrones!

“Look what we found… ????” they wrote in the caption.

A few months ahead of their wedding, in 1999, the couple welcomed their first child, Brooklyn Beckham, who is now 25 years old. Then arrived Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper Seven, 12.
