Victoria Monét Favors Dramatic Draping in Red Roberto Cavalli Dress for Time 100 Next Gala Red Carpet
Victoria Monét made a fiery arrival in red at the 2024 Time 100 Next Gala on Wednesday in New York. Styled by Kollin Carter, Monét wore a draped Roberto Cavalli spring 2005 dress.
The dress, originally worn by Isabeli Fontana on the Cavalli runway, featured dramatic draping and a thigh-high slit. With an open back, a long train and a halter neckline, the dress looked akin to a Grecian goddesses’ peplos.

In addition to the draping, the dress was gathered in several spots, creating layers of textures throughout the dress. The neckline featured a collar-like necklace embellished with luminescent tube beads.
To complete the look, Monét wore a statement Bulgari Serpenti bracelet, rings and silver Serpenti earrings. Her hair was styled in a bun with a sweeping bang.
The singer attended the gala and received an honor in the artist category alongside other notables such as Kaia Gerber, Sabrina Carpenter and Ashley Park.
Monét has been promoting the deluxe edition of her latest album, “Jaguar II” and most recently graced the cover of Playboy magazine. The singer has had a successful start to her career with her debut studio album having won a Grammy in the New Artist category.
