Video premiere: Brad Walsh debuts 'audible art' in 'Boadicea'

Brad Walsh has many voices: He first made a name for himself doing successful, charting label remixes, and then moved on to writing, recording, and producing his own work. His musical collaborations include an eclectic list of artists ranging from Adam Lambert to Tori Amos. Outside of his music, he’s known for his outspoken political views and activism on social media, as well as his marriage to designer Christian Siriano.

Walsh’s latest album, Antiglot, has a different sort of voice, though — the set is composed entirely of vocal layers and body sounds. No instruments, no lyrics.

Yahoo Music is pleased to debut the video for the album’s song “Boadicea,” which beautifully shows off this unusual approach.

“This album is different from everything else that I’ve done because it is composed entirely of vocals and body sounds that I arranged and produced as though they were instruments,” says Walsh. “It was a very cathartic recording process, and the finished product alleviates the social and political anxiety in me that prompted its recording in the first place. I think of it as a piece of audible art, and it’s something I’m very proud of.”
